Our fibrecane furniture carries a 3-year warranty against fading, peeling and cracking and is well-suited to full outdoor exposure.
The powder coating on our aluminium furniture adds an extra protective barrier against oxidation.
We are so confident in its durability that we offer a 2-year warranty on the powder coating, providing you with peace of mind and assurance in your investment.
Our outdoor fabrics are crafted for durability and everyday outdoor living.
For added peace of mind, they are supported by a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty covering loss of colour or strength under normal use and exposure to sunlight, mildew and atmospheric conditions.
Aluminium and stainless steel
Our aluminium and stainless steel products have a 3-year guarantee against oxidation, safeguarding your investment and ensuring your furniture remains in impeccable condition.
Mild steel products
Our mild steel products are recommended for inland areas and covered patios only. They are not suitable for full exposure to coastal environments or direct weather conditions. To avoid corrosion, these items should be used in protected or covered outdoor areas.
We provide a 1-year guarantee against corrosion when the product is used and cared for as recommended.
Workmanship of all frames
All frames carry a 3-year workmanship warranty, reflecting the quality and care behind every piece.
Materials
Our materials carry a 2-year warranty against stretching and abrasion under normal use.
Workmanship
The 2-year warranty on our rope weave ensures your investment remains in excellent condition.
Fabric
The Polyfast fabric carries no guarantee.
The Proof fabric gives you a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Hardware
We have a 1-year warranty on any factory faults that may occur.
The warranty covers:
• Cracks larger than 3 mm
• Breakages under normal use
• Corrosion of fittings
• Significant warping
Please note:
• Covers are not recommended for timber furniture (they cause sweating)
• Natural hairline cracks, colour variation and minor movement are not defects
• Modifications or misuse may void the guarantee
• Colour changes from user-applied finishes are not covered

Fabric Warranty
If you notice any damage or have concerns about your furniture, please contact us as soon as possible via email at tamsyn@alifurn.co.za.
When submitting a claim, please include:
• Clear images of the affected area so we can assess the issue
• A detailed description of what occurred, including when the damage happened
• Your original invoice or invoice number, so that we can confirm the date of purchase and warranty eligibility
Once reviewed, we will advise whether the item qualifies for repair or replacement under the applicable warranty.
Please note:
• Collection and delivery costs are not covered where
the issue falls outside of the warranty or is not due to a
manufacturing defect
• Claims relating to damage caused by not following our Care
Guidelines may fall outside of our warranty

Our materials carry a 2-year warranty against stretching and abrasion under normal use.

• Colour fastness cannot be guaranteed, as fading depends on the level and intensity of UV exposure
• Rope furniture is best suited to covered patios or areas with limited sun exposure
For installations with full sun exposure, we recommend fibrecane weaves, as they offer greater long-term colour stability.
If rope is preferred, lighter colours are generally recommended, as fading is less noticeable over time.
Timber Products
Timber items carry a 5-year guarantee, provided they are properly maintained and regularly oiled as recommended.
As timber is a natural material, small variations may occur over
time and are considered part of its natural character.

Collection & Delivery
Where a product is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, Alifurn will determine the appropriate repair or replacement process.
